It is not from the Sunnah to single out the 15th of Sha’bān with any extra acts of worship Sheikh ibn Bāz raḥimahullāh said: “Among the innovations which some people have introduced is the innovation of celebrating the middle night of Sha’bān and singling out its day with fasting. There is no reliable evidence to prove this. There are weak reports indicating its virtue which must not be relied upon. As for what is mentioned concerning the virtue of praying during it (the night of the 15th), then this is all fabricated, as many of the scholars have pointed out.” [Majmū’ Fatāwā Ibn Bāz (1/ 186)] 7. We should utilise this month to establish good habits in time for Ramaḍhān, and we must beware of delaying today's good deeds for tomorrow, because tomorrow is not guaranteed!
