BENEFIT 29: The effect of Allah's Names & Attributes on the heart
Sheikh Jum’ān Laḥmar ḥafidhahullāh said:
Allah's Names & Attributes can be divided into various categories based on different aspects.
From the aspect of their effect on a person's heart, Allah's Names & Attributes are divided into two categories:
1⃣. Names & Attributes which cause the heart to love Allah, such as:
الرحمن = The Most Merciful
الغَفّار = The Oft-Forgiving
الرؤوف = The Ever-Gracious
الودود = The Most Loving
2⃣. Names and Attributes which cause the heart to fear Allah, such as:
القهّار = The Supreme
الجبّار = The Compeller
القوي = All-Strong
المتكبِّر = The Majestic
