Although the mother says "take from me ten qualities", there's 15 (possibly more) advices contained in this passage. That makes it 15 brotherly advices and 15 Sisterly advices. The objective in sharing these advices is to halt the rising rates in divorce amongst Muslims, the young couples in particular. Divorce is not haraam, but it should only be resorted to once all other options have been exhausted. Especially so when children are involved.
