hujjah and that they can make mistakes. Then he listed examples of these mistakes to prove the point (I believe he relayed these examples from Ibn Hazm - not 10
The third category: Minor issues which have been blown out of proportion. Example: Sheikh Yahya did not write رضي الله عنه after mentioning the names of some of the Sahaba in his book Ar-Riyadh Al-Mustataabah. The fourth category: He was accused for other people's supposed mistakes. Example: a sentence mentioned in Sheikh Muhammad ba Jammal's book was distorted and made to appear as though the sheikh said, the Prophet ﷺ's statements are not accepted without evidence. The fifth category: Rehashing past mistakes which the Sheikh had already retracted. Yes he makes mistakes; he is human after all, but when his mistakes are pointed out to him, he accepts and retracts, in line with the way of the Salaf. Narrated Abu Sa'eed: “Abu Musa sought permission to enter upon 'Umar. He said: 'As-Salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: 'Once.' Then he was silent for some time. Then he said: 'As-Salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: Twice.' Then he was silent for some time. Then he said: 'As-salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: 'Three times.' Then he (Abu Musa) left. 'Umar said to the gate-keeper: 'What did he do?' He replied: 'He left." He said: 'Bring him to me.' So when he came, 'Umar said to him: 'What is this that you have done?' He said: 'The Sunnah.' He said: 'The Sunnah? By Allah! You had better bring me proof or a witness to clarify this, or I will do this or that to you.'" He said "So he came to us while we were sitting with Ansar. He said: 'O People of the Ansar! Are you not the most knowledgeable people about the Ahadith of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) not say: "Seeking permission is to be done three times. Either you are permitted, or otherwise leave?" The people began joking. Abu Sa'eed said: "Then I raised my head toward him and said: "Whatever punishment you are afflicted with because of this, then I shall be your partner in it." So he went to 'Umar to inform him him about it, and 'Umar said: "I did not know about this.” [Jami’ At-Tirmidhi, 2690 - Tirmithi said it is Hasan Saheeh] Umar raḍhiyallāhu anhu wanted to punish Abu Musa not knowing that this was the Sunnah. But when the truth was clarified, he accepted it and acknowledged his mistake. The sixth category: Baseless lies & accusations; such as he loves to be praised, he forces his students to adopt his views, he is ill-mannered, etc. https://t.me/madrasatuna/1950 ▪️Fourthly, you said (stand with him, the filthy Fitnah maker, Al Hajoori or against him, where the Salafiyyūn and their 'Ulama stand)...for those who are unaware of the reality, you make it seem as though all of the Ulama are against Sheikh Yahya. Yes a handful of scholars have sadly fallen prey for the lies of Arafaat and his sidekicks, as the Prophet ﷺ said: ((إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرًا)) “Some eloquent speech is as effective as magic.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, 5767] but with that said: الحق أكبر من كل كبير The truth is above and beyond all. Here's a glimpse of how mischief-makers operate: https://youtu.be/7Hf8QULB3RU ▪️Fifthly, (is he not the one who gathered a council to discuss "the flaws of RasūlAllāh sallallah'alayhi wassalam"?!) This example comes under categories 3 & 5. The Sheikh did not gather a council to discuss the flaws of Rasulullah! All the Sheikh said was, it is possible for the Prophet ﷺ to perform ijtihad and he may be mistaken in his ijtihād. But unlike others, if ever he makes a mistake in ijtihad, revelation is sent down immediately to correct him.
