Imām Ibn Baṭṭah Al-’Akburi raḥimahullāh [D. 387 H] said:
«عرفنا أُناسا كانوا يسبون ويلعنون أهل البدع، ‏فجالسوهم وعاشروهم فأصبحوا منهم».
“We knew people who used to insult and curse the people of innovation, but when they sat and mixed with them they became one of them.”
