BENEFIT 6:
Concerning the statement of Allāh ﷻ:
{حُرِّمَتۡ عَلَیۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَیۡتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحۡمُ ٱلۡخِنزِیرِ وَمَاۤ أُهِلَّ لِغَیۡرِ ٱللهِ بِهِۦ...الآية}
“You are forbidden to eat carrion; blood; pig’s meat; وَمَاۤ أُهِلَّ لِغَیۡرِ ٱللهِ بِهِۦ...”
[Surah Al-Mâ'idah: 3]
Sheikh Jum'ān Laḥmar ḥafidhahullāh explained, {وَمَاۤ أُهِلَّ لِغَیۡرِ ٱللهِ بِهِۦ} has four possible meanings - all of which are Ḥarām:
1⃣. Invoking other than Allāh’s Name over the sacrifice.
2⃣. Not invoking any name whatsoever
3⃣. Invoking Allāh's Name together with another name
4⃣. Offering a sacrifice at a location where the Ploytheists offer their sacrifices, such as Shrines, graves, etc. Even if one were to invoke Allāh's name over this sacrifice, the meat remains impermissible!
