BENEFIT 4:
Abu Ad-Dardā raḍhiyallāhu 'anhu had two wives who both shared the same Kunyah as him (1):
The first wife was Umm Ad-Dardā 'Al-Kubrā' (the elder one). Her name was Khayrah. This wife was a Ṣaḥābiyyah (a female Companion). She passed away during her husband's lifetime raḍhiyallāhu 'anhā. What's correct is that she did not narrate any hadeeth from her husband, although she was mentioned once in a famous hadeeth:

The second wife was Umm Ad-Dardā 'Aṣ-Ṣughrā' (the younger one). Her name was Hujaimah Al-Waṣābiyyah. She was a Tābi'iyyah (Someone who met the Companions). She lived on after Abū Ad-Dardā's passing (2). This is the wife who narrated hadeeth from her husband.
Thus, whenever you come across a chain of narration where you see Umm Ad-Dardā narrating from Abu Ad-Dardā, you automatically know that this refers to Umm Ad-Dardā Aṣ-Ṣughrā - not Al-Kubrā!
For example:
...Narrated Ṭalḥah ibn 'Ubdaillāh ibn Kareez, (who said) Umm Ad-Dardā narrated to us, she said: my master (3) Abu Ad-Dardā said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “When a Muslim supplicates for his absent brother the angels say: Amin, and may you receive the like.”

1. Co-wives are in constant competition with one another - even when it comes to something as trivial as sharing the same Kunya as their husband. Here we see that this needn't be a cause for concern, as both wives can share the same Kunya as their husband. Hopefully that's one less thing to bicker over.
2. It's said that she was both knowledgeable and beautiful. Thus, after the passing of Abu Ad-Dardā, when men -the like of Mu'āwiyah raḍhiyallāhu 'anhu- came forward seeking to marry her, she rejected all proposals as she was determined to be Abu-Dardā's wife in Jannah; because the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Any woman whose husband dies and she marries someone else after him, she will be with the last of her husbands.”
[Graded as Ṣaḥīḥ by Sh. Albāni raḥimahullāh in Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Jāmi’ (2704), and As-Silsilah Aṣ-Ṣaḥīḥah (1281)]
3. She would refer to her husband as سيدي (My master) because of her love and respect for him.
