💯 Miscellaneous Benefits from Yemen

BENEFIT 3: We had the opportunity of attending Sheikh Yahya's class at Masjid Ibrāhēm, Shuḥūḥ (15 minutes drive from Qarn, Seiyun) on 24/4/1444H (18/11/22). This was the class between Maghrib and Isha, which usually begins with a Q&A session followed by an explanation of Saheeh Muslim, but on this occasion the Sheikh spent the most part of the lesson answering one IMPORTANT question: What are the causes which has lead many of the Salafi youth astray? He listed some of the main causes along with their evidences, but I will paraphrase: 1⃣. Chasing after the Dunya 2⃣. Bad friends 3⃣. Being undutiful to one's parents 4⃣. Parents supplicating against their children (this stems from the previous cause) 5⃣. Arrogance {سَأَصۡرِفُ عَنۡ ءَایَـٰتِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ یَتَكَبَّرُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَیۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ} “I will turn away from My signs those who act unjustly with arrogance in the land.” [Surah Al-A`râf: 146] 6⃣. Extremism (going overboard or falling too short) 7⃣. Lack of co-operation between the du'āt. When the Prophet ﷺ sent Mu'ādh and Abū Mūsa Al-Ash'ari (may Allāh be pleased with them both) to Yemen as callers to Islam, he advised them to co-operate with another and to avoid disputing; as this will reinforce their Da'wah, while its opposite will diminish & weaken their Da‘wah. The Sheikh hafidahullāh said: ”الاختلاف بين الدعاة يسبب لهم نفرة، والتطاوع فيما بينهم يسبب لهم ألفة“ “Differing between the du'at leads to alienation, whereas co-operation leads to unity.” He also said: ”المجتمع إذا لم يحافظ عليه أخياره هجم عليه أشراره“ “If the righteous do not take care of their society (i.e. They don't establish classes, give da'wah, command good and forbid evil) the wicked ones will wreck havoc.” ...
