Protect yourselves from future pandemics | Cover your utensils at night

Jabir radhiyallahu 'anhu said, I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: ((غَطُّوا الْإِنَاءَ، وَأَوْكُوا السِّقَاءَ ؛ فَإِنَّ فِي السَّنَةِ لَيْلَةً يَنْزِلُ فِيهَا وَبَاءٌ لَا يَمُرُّ بِإِنَاءٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ غِطَاءٌ، أَوْ سِقَاءٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ وِكَاءٌ إِلَّا نَزَلَ فِيهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوَبَاءِ)) “Cover the utensils and tie the waterskin, for there is a night in the year when a pandemic descends, and it does not pass an uncovered utensil or an untied waterskin but some of that pandemic descends into it.” [Reported by Muslim (2014)]
