1. Take the means (leave the nest) + 2. Place reliance on Allah = Provision A simple equation in theory, but practically it requires a great deal of Sabr (patience) & Yaqeen (certainty). Allah said: {أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن یُتۡرَكُوۤا۟ أَن یَقُولُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمۡ لَا یُفۡتَنُونَ} “Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?” [Surah Al-`Ankabût: 2] And He said: {أَمۡ حَسِبۡتُمۡ أَن تَدۡخُلُوا۟ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا یَأۡتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِینَ خَلَوۡا۟ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۖ مَّسَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَأۡسَاۤءُ وَٱلضَّرَّاۤءُ وَزُلۡزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ یَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِۗ أَلَاۤ إِنَّ نَصۡرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِیبࣱ} “Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so ˹violently˺ shaken that ˹even˺ the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is ˹always˺ near.” [Surah Al-Baqarah: 214] Lofty ranks come at a price! Ibnul Qayyim rahimahullah said: 'I heard Sheikhul Islam ibn Taymiyyah saying: (بالصبر واليقين تنال الإمامة في الدين) “Through patience and certainty does a person become an Imaam in the Deen.” [Madaarij As-Saalikeen]
