Allah says: { إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ} “Indeed, Allah ˹alone˺ is the Provider.” [Surah Adh-Dhâriyât: 58] Ultimately, Allah is the source of provision. Your job, your efforts and hard work, your intelligence...are all merely MEANS to attain Allah's provision. If Allah does not wish to provide for you, no means will be of benefit to you! That is why we have to combine between seeking riqz through Halaal means with another important characteristic ⤵️ At-Tawakkul (placing full reliance upon Allah) Look how beautifully the birds combine between these two characteristics. The Prophet ﷺ said: ((لو أنكم تتوكلون على الله حق توكله لرزقكم كما يرزق الطير ، تغدو خماصاً وتروح بطاناً‏)) “If you all depended on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly provide for you as He provides for the bird who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk.” [At-Tirmidhi, who categorized it as 'Hasan'] If we do as the birds do, Allah will certainly provide for us. 1. Take the means (leave the nest) + 2. Place reliance on Allah = Provision
