Sharing Beneficial Knowledge

A conversation took place in the mataf—the area where people perform tawaf. It was between a brother and one of the workers who offer a wheelchair service. As is known, these workers are paid to assist people—especially the elderly and those with special needs—by taking them around the Haram to complete their 'Umrah.
The brother said to the worker, “I believe you have one of the best jobs in the Haram.” He repeated, “I truly think you have one of the best jobs here.”
The worker replied, “Why?”
The brother said, “You tell me—what do you think?”
He answered, “Because my work is completely halal.”
The brother responded, “There are many others here whose work is also halal. That’s not the reason.”
So the worker said, “Alright then, tell me.”
The brother explained, “I believe your job is one of the best because—if your intention is right—you can combine the good of this dunya and the good of the akhirah.”
The worker asked, “How is that?”
He said, “When you take someone in your wheelchair and go around for tawaf, if you intend that you yourself are also performing tawaf with every trip, then you gain the reward of tawaf. At the same time, you receive your payment for the service you provide. So you bring together the goodness of this world—earning a halal income—and the goodness of the next life—performing multiple tawafs each day.”
The worker was amazed and said, “SubhanAllah, you’ve taught me something I didn’t realise before. JazakAllahu khayran.”
Knowing that there are many of these workers who wait near the mataf and the mas‘a area for people needing assistance, he encouraged him, saying, “Spread this knowledge with the rest of the workers, because whoever guides others to good receives the same reward.”
So imagine: this brother shares the advice, and others begin acting upon it—day after day, perhaps for years. Each time they make tawaf with the intention, and even pray the two rak‘ahs afterward, the one who first gave that advice continues to receive the reward—perhaps while he is at home, resting on his bed.
This is why we should make an effort to seek beneficial knowledge and pass it on to others.
