🔟. Eat together...

Wahshi ibn Harb radhiyallahu anhu reported: Some of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “We eat but are not satisfied.” He (ﷺ) said: ((فلعلكم تفترقون‏)) “Perhaps you eat separately.” The Companions replied in the affirmative. So he ﷺ then said: ((فاجتمعوا على طعامكم، واذكروا اسم الله، يبارك لكم فيه‏)) "Eat together and mention the Name of Allah over your food. It will be blessed for you." [Reported by Abu Dawud & Ibn Majah, graded 'Hasan' by Sheikh Albani]. * Interestingly, when Sheikh Yahya visited UK over 20 years ago, he found people eating separately. During one such gathering, he advised that they should eat together, but some of the du'aat who were present desisted claiming that this was Tashadddud (being too strict). This prompted the Sheikh to author an invaluable book on this subject entitled: الأربعون الحسان لتنبيه الأنام إلى فضل الاجتماع على الطعام This book was praised highly by Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah.
