A demonstration of the previous benefit. The Prophet ﷺ said: ((مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ)) “If Allah wants good for a person, He grants him understanding of the Deen.” This hadeeth is reported by Bukhari & Muslim from the hadeeth of Mu'awiyyah radhiyallahu 'anhu It is also reported by Tirmithi and others from the hadeeth of Abdullah ibn Abbas radhiyallahu 'anhu Sheikh Muhammad Ba Jammal hafidhahullah mentions in his audio explanation of his book, ”الحلية السنية لطالب العلوم السلفية“ (paraphrasing): “...if someone is giving da'wah in a masjid/locality which is heavily populated by the Shi'a and he wants to remind the people of the virtues of seeking knowledge by citing the hadeeth above, he should avoid mentioning the report of Mu'awiyyah; because the Shi'a hate Mu'awiyyah radhiyallahu 'anhu. Instead, he should narrate to them the hadeeth of ibn 'Abbas radhiyallahu anhu; who is from Ahlul Bayt and someone beloved to them.
