If Hajj prices are making you hesitant, consider the following:

1⃣. The Merits & Excellence of Hajj:
- it's a completion of the 5 pillars
- it wipes away all previous sins, such that one returns sinless like the day they were born
- it's a means to be admitted to Jannah
- repetitive visits to makkah for Hajj and 'Umrah removes poverty
2⃣. Allah will not only reward you, He will reimburse and multiply every penny you spend in His cause.
3⃣. Hajj prices seem to be rising each year, so it might well be a worthwhile investment, and procrastinating may leave you regretful a couple years down the line.
4⃣. The boarders are open, security prevails and pilgrims are allowed to enter relatively(*) easily. Such luxuries demand that one is grateful. Who knows if this will be the case next year?
(*) Note: only pilgrims under 65 years of age who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 using vaccines approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health will be able to perform Hajj.
Is one allowed to bypass this requirement?
5⃣. Reflect over Allah's saying:
{ وَمَاۤ أُوتِیتُم مِّن شَیۡءࣲ فَمَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَزِینَتُهَاۚ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَیۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰۤۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ }
“Whatever things you have been given for the life of this world are merely [temporary] gratification and vanity. But what is with Allah is far better and more lasting. Will you not then understand?”
[Surah Al-Qasas: 60]
6⃣. Why would you delay if you are both physically & financially capable? This might not be the case in the future! Reflect over the statement of Allah's Messenger ﷺ: “Hasten to perform Hajj, for none of you knows what will happen to him.” [Reported by Ahmad and others from the hadeeth of ibn 'Abbas; authenticated by Sheikh Albani]
