NOTE 2: it's possible for a revert to be better than those born into Islam, especially if the former is more fearful of Allah and more diligent in implementing the Deen than the latter. {إِنَّ أَكۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَىٰكُمۡ} “Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you.” [Surah Al-Hujurât: 13] FOURTHLY: We cannot assert whether this individual is better than that one, because this is from the knowledge of the unseen. ONLY Allah knows who was the best person in that room that day. We can only be hopeful as to the fate of the good doers and fearful as to the fate of the sinners. CONCLUSION: Maybe it was a slip of the tongue. Maybe due to overwhelming joy he didn't realise what he was saying. Whatever the case, a mistake is a mistake, and it needs pointing out so others are not fooled into believing it is actually true. After all, this Deen is sincere advice. May Allah rectify our mistakes. And all praises belong to Allah Who removed this non-Muslim from the darkness of Kufr & Shirk and brought him to the light of Islam. We ask Allah to keep us and him firm upon this Deen until we are returned back to Him.
