REVIVE A FORGOTTEN SUNNAH:

4 May 2022 • 5.2K views
If you're coming back from 'Umrah in these coming days, as many of you are, try your best to revive this forgotten Sunnah Sheikh Uthaymeen rahimahullah said: “If a person returns to his country (from travelling), he should go straight to the masjid and offer two rak'ahs before going to his house, because this was the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ as he illustrated in both speech and action. However, I don't think anyone today - except a few people - implements this Sunnah, and this is due to people's ignorance, otherwise it's something easy Alhmadu lillah. And it's the same whether you pray in your local masjid where you regularly attend or the first masjid (you encounter upon arrival) in the country; in both cases the Sunnah is actualized.” [Explanation of Riyadh As-Saliheen 139 - 140] _ NOTE: This applies to all travellers and not confined to those returning from 'Umrah. I only mentioned 'Umrah because many of Muslims will be returning from 'Umrah at this stage
