What will Shaytan do with a ruined heart!? Sheikh 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah said: It was said to one of the Companions that the Jews say, “We are free from Waswaas (whispering) in our prayers, while you Muslims experience Waswaas in your prayers,” So he made an amazing statement. He said: “What will Shaytan do with a ruined heart!?” Shaytan does not come to a ruined heart, because it is already ruined. But rather, he seeks to ruin the prosperous, healthy heart until it is destroyed. We ask Allah to protect us and you all against the accursed devil. [His explanation on Sahih Muslim (1/376)]
