What to say after Witr: After Witr prayer, it is recommended to say: سُـبْـحَـانَ الْـمَـلِـكِ الْـقُـدُّوسِ Subḥānal-Malikil-Quddūs "Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy.” (Three times) It is reported by Aḥmad (3/406) and others on the authority of 'AbdurRaḥmān ibn Abzā -may Allāh be pleased with him- that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite in Witr: سبح اسم ربك الأعلى [i.e., Sūrah Al-A’lā (87) in the first rak'ah], and قل يا أيها الكافرون [i.e., Sūrah al-Kāfirūn (109) in the second], and قل هو الله أحد [i.e., Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ (112) in the third rak'ah]. Then after the taslīm he would say "Subḥānal-Malikil-Quddūs", "Subḥānal-Malikil-Quddūs", "Subḥānal-Malikil-Quddūs", three times, raising his voice on the third time." [This ḥadīth was graded Ṣaḥīḥ by Sheikh Muqbil Al-Wādi'ī in 'Aṣ-Ṣaḥīḥul Musnad', no. 890.]
