I think some people misunderstood my saying, “aside from you paying for membership” What's meant is you paying for your own membership - NOT PAYING FOR THE CHANNEL'S MEMBERSHIP. It's free for me to post on there. I just don't want to expose people to these silly ads, which is why I was looking for FREE alternatives for viewers. Paying for your membership (£6.99 a month - student plan) is being incentivised by YouTube through these silly ads; it's a technological blackmail; if you don't want to see ads, pay for membership. _ SOLUTIONS If you don't want to pay for membership, here are some free alternatives: 1⃣. If have Mozilla Firefox browser on Android, then look for the add-on called "uBlock Origin.” This is the best add-on which is reliable and safe and blocks all ads, including Youtube. It is also available for Chrome/Firefox if you’re on PC. For iPhone users, they will need to download a Browser called “Brave” and that will eliminate Youtube ads entirely for them. It has no ads and you can play things in the background and you don’t need to sign into any google account. You can also download videos directly from this app. So it’s an all around solution. It’s on Android. How to download NewPipe: 1) Directly from their website: https://newpipe.net/ 2) Through F-Droid: https://f-droid.org/ I’ve personally downloaded it from F-droid which is a separate app store that has secure/open-source/trusted apps on it.
