BENEFIT 86: Shafā'ah related to the Hereafter This type of Shafā'ah is divided into two types: 1. Negated/ rejected 2. Affirmed/ approved The negated/ rejected Shafā'ah is two types: 1. One which is tantamount to Shirk 2. One which is lesser than Shirk; this applies to any Shafā'ah which has no valid basis, like visiting the Prophet's grave ﷺ (as the evidences relating to this being a means to be granted Shafā'ah are all inauthentic). The affirmed/ approved Shafā'ah is by virtue and Permission of Allāh upon His believing servants. And this Shafā'ah is divided into two types: 1. General & 2. Specific The general Shafā'ah is three types: 1. Shafā'ah which saves a person who deserves Hell from entering it. 2. Shafā'ah which removes someone already in Hell from the Hell 3. Shafā'ah in order raise someone's rank The specific Shafā'ah is exclusive to our Prophet ﷺ, and this is of various types: 1. Shafā'ah for the Judgement to begin 2. Shafā'ah for the people of Jannah to be admitted into Jannah 3. Shafā'ah for those who committed major sins and died without repenting 4. Shafā'ah for his Ummah 5. Shafā'ah for his uncle Abū Ṭālib 6.
