It was during one of these classes that the Sheikh mentioned the solution to the dilemma we spoke about yesterday.
The Sheikh hafidhahulah explained, after quoting from An-Nawawi, that the best solution is for him to hold still the stone/tissue with the right and rub the tip of his genitals against it with his left hand.
This way, he is neither holding his genitals using his right hand, nor cleaning himself with his right.
Another solution:
Men are prohibited from holding their genitals with the right hand only WHEN URINATING - because the prohibition, according to the hadeeth, is restricted (وهو يبول - while urinating). Therefore, after urinating, he is allowed to hold his genitals using his right hand and wipe it clean with his left.
However the first solution is safer, because drops of urine may come out while holding with the right, thus falling into the prohibition.
