While still in Dammaj, years before the Hoothi renegades went on to seize the Capital of Yemen; San'aa, Sheikh Yahya hafidhahullah spoke out warning against the

"Our brothers; all praises belong to Allāh; may Allah enlighten their faces, have increased in honour and feel at ease. As for the Raafidhah, we advise anyone listening, not to incline towards them, not now, and not afterwards. By Allah! If they take control, they will not be satisfied until they meddle with San'aa, and if they meddle with San'aa and take control, they will not be satisfied until they do to him as was done to Saddam; they will hang him (i.e. Ali Abdullah Ṣalāh) as they hanged Saddam. And perhaps the Hoothis will bring him and hang him infront of the public. Now they have various schemes; the first is to attack, the second is to carry out widespread media campaigns and boast. The third, and that is if they fail in their attack, they sniper from distance. But if their attack and snipering is repelled with its like, they retreat to seeking conciliation. They seek conciliation while carrying out killings." ---- He predicted 2 major incidents which both came true: 1. He said, if the Hoothis are not stopped in their traces they will go on to invade San'aa...this came true! It's important to note that the Hoothi's only demand at the time was to gain full control of Sa'dah alone; a province in Northern Yemen. 2. He also said...they will go on to murder the president, Ali Abdullah Saalih...and this is exactly what they did!
