BENEFIT 61: My Alarm clock is not doing its job Aṣbagh ibn Zaid Al-Wāṣiṭī raḥimahullāh reported that: Sa'īd ibn Jubayr (D. 95 H.) had a rooster whose screaming would wake him up at night. However, one night Sa'īd did not wake up to pray until morning. This was so difficult upon him that he said (supplicating against the rooster): 'What's wrong with it, may Allāh cut its voice.'
