“Among the blessings of spreading knowledge and teaching it is that it preserves Allah's laws and protects it, because without knowledge the Shariah would not be preserved.”
📕Majmū fatāwa ibn Uthaymīn
8⃣- The one who spreads beneficial knowledge is similar to a Mujāhid in Allāh's cause
Sheikh Uthaymīn raḥimhullāh said:
“By spreading beneficial knowledge you are spreading the religion of Allāh the Almighty. You will be among the Mujahideen in Allah's cause; so the mujahid in Allah's cause conquers the country, country by country, so that the religion is spread therein, while you unlock the hearts with knowledge so that Allah the Almighty's Laws are spread therein.”
📕Majmū Al-fatāwa ibn Uthaymīn

Some points of advise for those who seek to spread beneficial fiknowledge:
1️⃣- Be sincere! Do it solely for Allāh's sake - not for praise, followers, or for any other worldly benefit
2⃣- Make sure you are spreading BENEFICIAL knowledge; by checking the authenticity of what you are spreading and taking it from the correct sources
Allāh Almighty said:
{فَسۡـَٔلُوۤا۟ أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّكۡرِ إِن كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ}
“Ask those who have knowledge ˹of the Scriptures˺ if you do not know.”
📕[Sūrah An-Naḥl 43]
Muḥammad ibn Sīreen raḥimahullāh said:
”إِنَّ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ دِينٌ، فَانْظُرُوا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَ دِينَكُمْ.“
“This knowledge is (a matter of) Deen, so look to whom you take your Deen from.”
📕Muqaddimat Sahih Muslim
Sheikh Uthaymīn raḥimahullāh said, commenting on the above statement:
“And this is true, because knowledge is a matter of Deen, and if that is the case, a person must be careful and see who he takes his Deen from; is he trustworthy or not? Is he reliable or not?
📕 His commentary on Sahih Muslim
3⃣- You should encourage others to spread beneficial knowledge and direct them towards good so you can be credited for the knowledge they spread
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Among the actions and good deeds for which a believer will continue to receive reward after his death are knowledge which he taught and spread, a good son whom he left behind, or a copy of the Qur'an which he left as a legacy, or a mosque which he built, or a house which he built for the traveller, or a stream which he caused to flow, or a sadaqa which he gave from his property when he was alive and well, for which he will continue to receive reward after his death.”
📕Reported by Ibn Mājah (with a sound chain), Al-Bayhaqi, and Ibn Khuzaymah reported it in his saheeh with a similar wording. Declared hassan by Sheikh Albani rahimahullah in saheeh at-targhib wat tarheeb
4⃣- Concentrate on spreading that which the people are most in need of
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Mu'adh towards Yemen (as governor) he said to him: “Verily you would reach a community of the people of the Book, the very first thing to which you should call them is the worship of Allah, may His Glory be Magnificent, and when they become fully aware of Allah, instruct them that He has enjoined five prayers on them during the day and the night, and when they begin observing it, then instruct them that verily Allah has made Zakat obligatory for them which would be collected from the wealthy amongst them and distributed to their needy ones...”
📕[Bukhāri & Muslim]
5⃣- Communicate the message according to people's level of understanding, utilising wisdom and good preaching
Allāh Almighty said:
{ٱدۡعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِیلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ وَجَـٰدِلۡهُم بِٱلَّتِی هِیَ أَحۡسَنُۚ}
“Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner.”
[Surah An-Nahl 125]
6⃣- Don't limit your audience by putting a price on your knowledge
