BENEFIT 28: IF YOU COMMAND GOOD AND FORBID EVIL, DON'T EXPECT PEOPLE TO THROW ROSES AT YOU❗️
Sheikh Abū Bilāl ḥafidhahullāh reminded the students in today's Maghrib class that:
Sheikh Muqbil raḥimahullāh used to say:
“Whoever wants to give da'wah expecting to face no harm, should go and stay with his mother and cover himself under a blanket.”
i.e. This type of person is not fit for da'wah.
Reflect over Luqmān's wise advice to his son:
{یَـٰبُنَیَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَٱنۡهَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَاۤ أَصَابَكَۖ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ}
“O my dear son! Establish prayer, encourage what is good and forbid what is evil, and endure patiently whatever befalls you. Surely this is a resolve to aspire to.”
[Sūrah Luqmān 17]
