It was said to Ḥasan al-Baṣrī:
يا أبا سعيد من أشد الناس صراخًا يوم القيامة؟
“O Abū Sa’īd who from the people will scream the loudest on the Day of Judgement (from Torment of Allāh)?”
He replied:
رجل رزق نعمة فاستعان بها على معصية الله.
“A man who was blessed with a bounty (from Allāh) and he used it to disobey Allāh.”
