BENEFIT 7: THREE NOUNS WHOSE TAAS ARE REMOVED WHEN MUDHAF Sheikh Abu Bilal hafidhahullah mentioned the following benefit in one of his classes: There are three nouns whose Taas are removed whenever they are mudhaf: 1- إِقَامَةٌ (establishment) So rather than say: «إقامَةُ الصلاةِ» We remove the Taa and say: «إقامُ الصلاةِ» meaning: (establishment of Salah) 2- شِعْرَة (بمعنى الشعور) (emotion) So rather than say: «لَيْتَ شِعْرَتِي» We remove the Taa and say: «لَيْتَ شِعْرِي» meaning: (An exclamation of astonishment) if only I had known! 3- عُذْرَةٌ (virginity) So rather than say: «أبو عُذْرَتِهَا» We remove the Taa and say: «أبو عُذْرِهَا» * (a phrase used in reference to the one who breaks a woman's virginity).
