BENEFIT 2: PERFORMING ADHAN & IQAMAH IN RELATION TO SALAH IS OF FOUR TYPES Sheikh Abu Bilal hafidhahullah stated during his explanation of Sahih Bukhari - chapter on salatul kusoof (the eclipse prayer) [paraphrasing]: "Adhan and Iqamah in relation to Salah is of 4 cases: CASE 1- Salah which has an Adhan & an Iqamah; this relates to the 5 daily obligatory prayers as well as salatul jumu'ah CASE 2- Salah which has NO Adhan & NO Iqamah; this relates to the voluntary prayers as well as the 2 Eid prayers, salatul Janazah and salatul istisqaa (prayer for seeking rain) CASE 3- Salah which has an Iqamah but NO Adhan; this relates to missed prayers (if you make up a missed prayer outside the designated time, you are only required to make iqamah), as well as the second of any two combined prayers (if you combine between dhuhr and Asr for example, you'd call the Adhan and Iqamah for Dhuhr then make a seperate Iqamah for Asr without repeating the Adhan) CASE 4- Salah which has its own specific Adhan but NO Iqamah; this relates to salatul kusoof (the eclipse prayer) [the Adhan/ call to prayer in this case is to simply say: الصلاة جامعة] Ref: https://t.me/abubilalsahihalbukhari/391
