Someone asked a good question regarding wasilah, tawassul & shafaa'ah...

I will answer with some short digestible posts and conclude with a direct call to action: Post 1: Waseelah (وَسِيلَةٌ) is anything that draws you closer to Allāh, i.e. the good deed itself Tawassul (تَوَسُّلٌ) is DOING that which will draw you closer to Allāh, i.e. tawassul is actualising waseelah. Let's give an example: A man gets a migraine due to his in-laws meddling with his marriage, as a result he raises his hands and begs Allāh for patience and an easy way out.
