The Sheikh ḥafidhahullāh said: "We do not claim that everyone studying there is categorically a Hizbi. Rather, we acknowledge that among them are both Hizbees and Salafees. There are teachers who adhere to the Sunnah, people of knowledge, as well as Salafi students who are devoted and strive to uphold this tradition. Nevertheless, we have observed that those from Ahlus-Sunnah studying there have fallen into two distinct groups: The first group consists of those who associate with scholars and students of the Sunnah. By the grace of Allāh, these individuals remain steadfast on the path of the Sunnah despite studying there, and such individuals who remain committed in every place and time are rare. The second group includes those who, despite initially following the Sunnah, have associated with some of the figures we mentioned who were praised by Hizbi groups. Among them are those who have adopted Hizbi views, aligning themselves with these groups, and others who have watered down their stance. These individuals have begun to say things like, “We should not concern ourselves with Jarh wa ta'deel,” or, “Those whom we critique are Muslims; they are our fellow Muslims.” While it is true that they are indeed Muslims, our aim in critiquing them is solely to guide them towards a more upright path..."
