Tahiri: “In reality I was intending to specify a lecture to speak about the life of the Shaykh, and what I know from him personally, but it's not from the methodology of the Salaf that the people mention their good merits after their death, as some of the scholars may Allah have mercy upon them have stated that this is a type of Na'iy, but In Sha Allah in my intention is to specify a lecture on the biography and Seerah of the Shaykh Abu Abdulaziz (Ubaid Al-Jaabiri) may Allah have mercy upon him and house him in His spacious Jannahs. To me personally he is like a father figure, so may Allah reward him good on my behalf, and I specify him in my supplications in my prayers and in the sittings, and I ask Allah Al-Kareem the lord of the mighty throne to honour him as he honoured us and to reward and to recompense him with good as a Shaykh is given for their student”.
