BENEFIT 252: Da'wah Salafiyyah is free from Tamyee' and Ghuluw

Sheikh Rashād Adh-Dhali'ee ḥafidhahullāh: The truth is that remaining steadfast on the principles upon which this Da’wah was founded, and through which blessings have been observed, brings great benefit. It is a simple, straightforward Da‘wah, free from burden, and one that receives the blessing of Allāh Almighty. This Da’wah is far from ideas that conflict with the way of the pious predecessors, avoids extremism and rigidity, and is equally far from laxity and a lack of adherence to this religion. It is balanced, neither excessive nor negligent, neither extreme nor dismissive. We disassociate from the ways of the extremists who have criticised and belittled scholars due to their own extremism and flawed methodology. Likewise, we distance ourselves from those who have become lax, particularly the hizbees who have abandoned their commitment and deviated from the path of the pious predecessors. This Da’wah, by Allāh's grace, has been blessed by following this path. Occasionally, there are those who deviate either in extremism or through ideas that contradict the way of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, which is blameworthy. Or through weak adherence and lack of commitment, and abandoning the way of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. Shayṭān deceives them, making extremism appear as steadfastness to some, while making laxity appear as moderation and balance to others. However, both groups have strayed from the true path! The path of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah is one of goodness, and its followers declare their disassociation from anything that contradicts the Qur'ān, Sunnah, and the way of the pious predecessors. While they are not infallible and may make mistakes, they correct themselves. But as a collective path, way and methodology, they remain firmly grounded in the way of the pious predecessors, without innovations or deviations. We ask Allāh Almighty to grant us steadfastness on this path until we meet Him.
