The Ninth Evidence

Allāh's statement: ﴿وَمَا اخْتلَفْتُم فِيهِ مِن شَيْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُ إِلَى الله﴾ "And whatever you differ concerning, its ruling is to [be referred to] Allāh" [Ash-Shūrā: 10]. If someone says: Whoever refers to other than Allāh’s law has opposed His command The response: The Āyah indicates the obligation to refer to the Sharī‘ah, and there is no dispute regarding this point, just as there is no dispute regarding the fact that those who rule by other than what Allāh has revealed are sinful and committing a grave wrongdoing. However, the Āyah does indicate that such people disbelievers.
