BENEFIT 240: Boycotting Ahlul bid'ah is an issue of concensus amongst the Salaf, and boycotting them includes boycotting their books

Sheikh Rashād Adh-Dhali'ee hafidahullah said: Then he (As-Sabooni) said, "They (the Salaf) also agreed on the necessity of overcoming and humiliating the people of innovation..." i.e. they are not granted any status/positions of authority. "...disgracing, distancing, and isolating them, and keeping away from their company and association..." This is a matter of consensus, as several scholars have transmitted the consensus on distancing oneself from the people of innovation, avoiding them, and exposing their harm and errors to the public. There is no disagreement on this matter! "Drawing closer to Allah by avoiding and boycotting them is a recognised act of devotion..." They even went as far as to avoid their books and writings, refusing to listen to or read them, as an act of seeking closeness to Allah. It is reported that Imam Muhammad ibn Isma'eel Al-Ameer As-San'ani burned one of the books of the people of innovation with the intention of seeking healing, and Allah cured him. He had been suffering from a pain in his stomach that persisted. He said, 'I recalled a book I had from the people of innovation, so I ordered my wife to burn this book and to bake bread on its fire.' He sought to draw closer to Allah by hating this innovator and his book.' He said, 'I ate that bread which was baked on the fire of that book, and Allah healed me.' @almanhajussalafi
