1⃣. Is it allowed to take pictures excluding the head?
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Aflahi ḥafidhahullāh said:
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
((الصورة الرأس فإذا قطع الرأس فلا صورة))
"The image is the head; if the head is cut off, then there is no image." This hadith was authenticated by Albani (may Allah have mercy on him).
Also, it was narrated by Abu Dawūd on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
((اتاني جبريل عليه السلام، وفيه: فمر برأس التمثال الذي في البيت يقطع..)
"Jibreel came to me and told me to cut off the head of the statue that is in the house…" This hadith was authenticated by Albani (may Allah have mercy on him).
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen was asked: A listener with the initials A.M.A. says that she is a girl who owns some jewelry with images of humans and animals on them. Is it permissible to pray while wearing such jewelry? Please provide guidance.
The Sheikh responded:
Jewelry with images of humans or animals should not be worn, whether during prayer or at other times, because these are three-dimensional images, and possessing or using three-dimensional images is prohibited. Angels do not enter a house that contains an image. Therefore, anyone who has such jewelry must go to a jeweler to have the heads of these images removed. Once the heads are removed, the prohibition is lifted. She must not keep the jewelry as it is; she should either remove the heads or scratch them out so that the heads are no longer recognizable.

2⃣. Is removing the facial features sufficient in defacing the image?
Sheikh 'Adnan Al-Masqari ḥafidhahullāh said:
Wiping the eyes alone is not sufficient in defacing the image. Muslims, both men and women, must deface the entire image, and defacing the head [alone] is sufficient, inshaAllah, based on what has been established from Ibn 'Abbās that the Prophet ﷺ said:
((الصورة الرأس))
"The image is the head," thus, the head is the image, whether from the front or the back."
And Allah knows best.

3⃣. If a person's head is pictured from behind, is it still considered Tasweer?
Sheikh Adnan Al-Masqari ḥafidhahullāh said:
Yes, according to the hadith,
((الصورة الرأس))
"The image is the head," not just the face.

4⃣. Is it permissible to use facial emojis?
Sheikh Ṣādiq Al-Bayti ḥafidhahullāh said:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
((الصورة الرأس))
"The image is the head."
This falls under the ruling of images because it includes the features of the head.

5⃣. Is it permissible to take a picture and then deface the head?
Sheikh Abu 'Amr Al-Hajoori ḥafidhahullāh said:
If an image already exists, then deface the image. However, if you create an image and then say "the image is the head" and then proceed to deface only the head, then you have already fallen into the prohibition (by creating the image).

6⃣. Can I download videos of scholars in order to covert it to mp3 audio?
Sheikh 'Abdurraqeeb Al-Kawkabani rahimahullah said:
لا بأس بذلك كمن اشترى التماثيل بخالص ماله ثم نقلها إلى حيازته بقصد إتلافها إن غلب على ظنه أن ذلك يحسم الشر أو يقلصه.
There is no harm in doing so, similar to someone who buys statues with their own money and then transfers them to their possession with the intention of destroying them, if it is likely that this will eliminate or reduce the evil.

Note: This should only be resorted to if there's no better alternatives, as mentioned by Sheikh Fat-h Al-Qadasi:
