Sheikh Abdulḥamīd Az-Zu'kari ḥafidhahullāh said: [Describing someone as] "Ash'ari" means that he belongs to them, aligns with their beliefs, follows their methodology, and adheres to their way in all matters. "He has Ash'arism" means he has some violations of Shari'ah that align with the Ash'ari methodology but has not fully adopted their creed or school of thought.
