With this, I conclude the answer to that question. The alternative, therefore, is a return to Islam. The alternative is a return to understanding and practicing Islam.
Questioner: "I position myself, dear Shaikh, as an advocate for those people and say, for example, their statement: 'What is necessary to fulfill an obligation becomes obligatory itself.'
From this standpoint, isn't it our right to consider participating in parliament as a duty to achieve the noble goal of safeguarding the rights of Muslims?"
Shaikh al-Albānī: This statement, may Allāh bless you, does not apply here. 'What is necessary to fulfill an obligation becomes obligatory itself' means that any originally permissible means leading to an obligation must be undertaken. However, when the means are forbidden, no scholar would say, 'What is necessary to fulfill an obligation becomes obligatory.' This, in reality, is either ignorance or willful disregard, and both are problematic.
