BENEFIT 188: Why Have Ahlus Sunnah in Yemen Grown Disinclined Towards Shaykh Sālih As-Suheymi?

Sheikh Hasan Ba Shu'ayb, ḥafidhahullāh, said: Shaykh Sālih As-Suheymi, may Allāh grant him success, has recently been influenced by the malicious Barāmikah (Arāfāt and his associates) to further their agenda, similar to what they did with Shaykh Rabee', Al-Jaabiri, and Ibn Haadi, and they have had some success in this. As a result, As-Suheymi has started issuing fatwas endorsing enrollment in the International Islamic University in Aden and praising its curriculum. He has also recommended seeking knowledge from Muhammad Al-Imam, Al-Bura'e, Abdullah Al-Mar'i, and the sons of Al-Wasaabi. He does not acknowledge the true Shaykh of the Salafi Da'wah in Yemen, our Shaykh Yahya Al-Hajoori, nor the other Mashaayikh of the Sunnah who genuinely produce outstanding students of knowledge. Instead, he subtly criticises Shaykh Yahya, may Allah guide him, by suggesting he has made serious errors. Furthermore, As-Suheymi downplays the severity of Muhammad Al-Imam's pact with the heretical Houthis, a pact that undermines the creed of Tawheed. He encourages students of knowledge to read Muhammad Al-Imam's Khalafi "Al-Ibaanah," describing it as an exceptional book that deserves to be written in golden ink, claiming no similar work has been authored in this era. Additionally, As-Suheymi has called Salafis to unite in Britain with the followers of Abul Hassan Al-Misri and Ali Al-Halabi. He has also visited and praised some leaders of "Ansaar As-Sunnah Al-Muhamadiyyah" in Sudan. All of this misleads and deceives students of knowledge and betrays the Salafi Da'wah.
