Sheikh Salih Al-Luhaidan hafidahullah responds: "I seek forgiveness from Allah! Only a misguided innovator would make such a statement. He says that the Companions differed?! The Companions were people of creed! If there was any disagreement among them, it was only in certain matters of ijtihād related to actions. As for matters of creed [then no], because Allah is the One and Only, the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, the Doer of whatever He wills, the Creator, the Maker of all things, and the Knower of everything. There was no disagreement among them! Only those who seek to incite discord raise such issues! If he pretends to be a person of virtue, he may have learned some good and speaks about it to mislead people and draw them towards the falsehood he inclines to and seeks to spread. If he is merely deluded, let him seek Allah's forgiveness, repent, and return to the scholars to ask them. And if he is one who loves to conceal his true intentions and goals, then he should be exposed so that people may be warned against his evil." @almanhajussalafi
