BENEFIT 160: If Sheikh Yahya retracts, will his students also retract?

Sheikh Yūsuf Al-Jazaa’iri hafidahullāh said: "As for what is mentioned that Sheikh Yahya, may Allah preserve him, retracted his view on the issue of the first Adhan [on Jumu'ah], stating that it is not an innovation, then we are not aware of this. Even if Sheikh Yahya has indeed retracted, those who have established the evidence in this matter will not retract. The issue does not revolve around whether Sheikh Yahya has retracted his statement or not. We did not adopt this view because Sheikh Yahya expressed it, nor will we retract this view based on his retraction. We established our evidence for it, and it is incumbent upon us to follow the evidence. Nonetheless, we are not aware that Sheikh Yahya, may Allah preserve him, retracted his view on this issue, and whoever claims otherwise must provide evidence. Yes."
