BENEFIT 156: There's too many groups, we don't know where the truth lies!

The questioner asks, "What is your advice for those who say, 'There are numerous Political parties, and we do not know where the truth lies'?"
Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajoori, may Allah preserve him, responds:
"This is due to the lack of understanding on the part of the questioner and their failure to seek the truth. If one were to diligently seek the truth, they would find it. Allah Almighty commands mankind to follow the truth and guidance, to diligently seek it, and not to be negligent. For one to be on this level, where they do not distinguish between truth and falsehood, uprightness and deviation, desires and guidance, and the like, this is impermissible for them. They have neglected their religious duty and failed to deepen their understanding of their religion. [hadith] "Whoever Allah wants good for, He grants him understanding of the religion." So, let them seek understanding in the religion and accompany the people of guidance, as Allāh said:
{وَٱصۡبِرۡ نَفۡسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِینَ یَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِیِّ یُرِیدُونَ وَجۡهَهُۥۖ وَلَا تَعۡدُ عَیۡنَاكَ عَنۡهُمۡ تُرِیدُ زِینَةَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا}
"Bear patiently with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His countenance, and let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life." [Surah Al-Kahf: 28]
Most of those who utter such statements are those who are unconcerned with their religion. They may have been influenced by people who confused their thinking until they became muddled. So they say this because they did not give concern to the truth, they did not give concern to the Sunnah, they did not give concern to seeking the truth, they were not truthful with Allah.
{فَلَوۡ صَدَقُوا۟ ٱللهَ لَكَانَ خَیۡرࣰا لَّهُمۡ}
"If they were truthful with Allah, He would have been better for them." [Surah Muḥammad: 21]
From the time of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, until our present day, the truth is known, and its people are known. The people of the Sunnah are clear and apparent in every era. [hadith] "There shall always be a group among my followers who will remain steadfast on the truth, unaffected by those who oppose them or abandon them until the Day of Judgment."
Do not be deceived by claims that deviate from the truth.
Claims without clear evidence from their proponents are mere assertions.
{فَمَاذَا بَعۡدَ ٱلۡحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَـٰلُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصۡرَفُونَ}
"What is there after truth but error? How then are you turned away?"
So, if one follows the way of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions, they are the Sunni Salafis with whom you must align yourself.
{یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللهَ وَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ}
'O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are truthful.' [Surah At-Tawbah: 119]
Avoid cults, innovations, Sufism, Shi'ism, Zaidism, and all types of innovations, whims, and types of divisions. If you avoid these, inshaAllah, you will come to know the truth, and ONCE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, YOU WILL KNOW ITS PEOPLE."
