"Dr. Sa'eed Al-Kamali is not known for Salafiyyah"...that's basically what Sheikh 'Abdulhameed is alluding to; which is a fair and honest response for someone w

However, if we brush off the surface and dig a little deeper, we find some serious issues which should make us cautious of this man.
Let's give some examples:
1⃣. There's a clip where he speaks about one of the Attributes of Allah, but rather than clarifying the correct creed with relation to this Attribute, he relays the different opinions as though he is discussing an issue of Fiqh, leaving the listener under the impression that it's okay to differ in such issues of Aqeedah.
* Sheikh Salih As-Suhaimi hafidhahullah has refuted him for this. (you can find this online) #صالح_السحيمي
2⃣. He endorses celebrating the Prophet's birthday through both speech and action.
3⃣. His teachers include some of the well known innovators of our time, the likes of Ahmad ibn As-Siddeeq Al-Ghimari and Muhammad Hassan Walad Ad-Dadoo, and he also praises such individuals.
4⃣. On his visit to Saudi Arabia, he sat with the major figureheads of Hizbiyyah.
5⃣. He hardly calls to Salafiyyah, nor does he warn against Shirk and innovation, though he resides in a land that is filled with Shirk and innovation.
So we must be wary of whom we take our knowledge from, as Imam Muslim narrated in the introduction of his saheeh on the authority of Muhammad ibn Seereen that he said: “This knowledge is religion, so look from whom you take your religion.”
Sheikh Yusuf Al-Jazairi hafidhahullah said:
This man (dr. Sa'eed Al-Kamali) conceals himself with the (dressing of) Sunnah and teaches some of the texts of the Sunnah, while he is not one of its people. This is what has led many of those who lack knowledge to become deceived by him, meanwhile he attends Mawlid with the Sufis and says that it's permissible to celebrate birthdays, he defends Ikhwan Al-Muslimoon and attends their senior councils and seminars, and other misguidances.
It's obligatory that people are cautious of him and his Fitnah, and for the students of knowledge to warn against his deception and falsehood (in accordance with the statement of Allah)
{وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡـَٔایَـٰتِ وَلِتَسۡتَبِینَ سَبِیلُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ}
“And thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that the way of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners), may become manifest.” [Surah Al-Anʿām: 55]

How is it then possible for a Daa'ee who ascribes to Salafiyyah to come out in public and shower praise on this individual and promote him to his audience as though he is a role model who should be looked upto??
Where are the great giants of this era? The likes of ibn Baz, Uthaymeen, Albani, Al-Wadi'ee; rahmatullahi alayhim. Where are the Fawzans, the AbdulMuhsin Abbads, the Aal Ash-Sheikhs...?
When you have influence on people, you have to be extra careful what you say and do; because you, in their eyes, are a representation of the Sunnah, and just as you earn good deeds from directing others to good, you will also be responsible for leading them astray.
{لِیَحۡمِلُوۤا۟ أَوۡزَارَهُمۡ كَامِلَةࣰ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ وَمِنۡ أَوۡزَارِ ٱلَّذِینَ یُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمٍۗ أَلَا سَاۤءَ مَا یَزِرُونَ}
“On the Day of Resurrection they will bear the full weight of their own burden, as well as some of the burden of those they misled with no true knowledge. How terrible their burden will be!” [Surah An-Naḥl: 25]
