BENEFIT 131: How to deal with those who who invite you to speak at a function that involves tasweer

Sheikh Abdulkareem Al-Khuḍhair, may Allah grant him success, taught Tafsir Al-Qurṭubi over a course of 23 years. He was invited to give a talk to shed light on his experiences throughout this journey. But before doing so, he layed down some conditions... Host: "Therefore, let us leave the floor to the esteemed Sheikh to commence and proceed with presenting this experience and these fruitful encounters... (Someone can be heard reminding the host to give an announcement) ...I invite him, may Allah preserve him, to commence within forty-five minutes, after which the attendees will be given the opportunity, inshaAllah, to present their questions and perhaps their contributions for those interested. I have a special request, or rather two: the first request is for the students of the Sheikh who attended this lesson to afford us the chance to hear from them; those who were part of that blessed delegation, and also to the general attendees: The Sheikh, naturally, upon his request, has prohibited tasweer this evening, and therefore, I implore you to kindly comply with his wish to refrain from filming. May Allah grant you all success."
