Making a Living off one's Deen

Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf never used to buy his provisions from just one baker or one grocer. He said, "Perhaps they will recognise me and treat me favourably, and then I would become one who lives off his Deen!" [Al-Muntadham by Ibn al-Jawzi, 100]
