قال الشيخ العثيمين رحمه الله: سنة الخلفاء الراشدين إذا خالفت سنته (أي الرسول ﷺ) فإنها لا تتبع.
The esteemed scholar Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen rahimahullah stated: "If the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs contradicts the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), then it is not to be followed."
