He mentions that he works in the masjid where innovations are widespread, and the authorities in this masjid invite people to these innovations. Is it permissible for him to remain as the imam of this masjid? Sheikh Fawzān: If he is not capable of preventing the spread of such innovations, he should move to a different masjid or leave the position of imam.
