BENEFIT: 'Awaam Should Not be Allowed to Have the Final Say in Da'wah Related Matters

This is an advice from Shaykh Yahya ibn Ali Al-Hajoori hafidhahullah from his lesson on Al-Adab Al-Mufrad of Imam Al-Bukhari rahimahullah, during his commentary on Hadith no. 919. In it, our noble Shaykh spoke about: Understanding and wisdom in da‘wah, and that part of proper understanding in da‘wah is protecting and preserving the da‘wah itself. ▪️From proper understanding in da‘wah is being keen on brotherhood for the sake of Allah. ▪️From proper understanding in da‘wah is caring for the students of knowledge and protecting them from going astray. He said: “By Allah, from the understanding of da‘wah is being concerned for the students, lest they be snatched away by desires and doubts.” ▪️From proper understanding in da‘wah is that you do not hand over the affairs of goodness, knowledge, and religion to an ignorant common person, no matter who he may be. This is true understanding and proper comprehension of da‘wah. The callers to Islam must understand this, and their da‘wah should be guided by knowledge, scholars, understanding, and fuqaha.
