BENEFIT: From The Characteristics Of The Salafi Methodology is Refuting Those Who Oppose in The Religion

Shaykh Saalih Aal Ash-Shaykh hafidhahullah explains: Among the characteristics of the righteous Salaf and we conclude with this is that they were keen to refute doubts and misconceptions in the religion. They did not hold the view that anyone who ascribes himself to the religion should be left without correction. Indeed, protecting the religion, the creed, the faith, the truth, and the Book and the Sunnah takes precedence over showing consideration to any individual. For this reason, it was from the traits of the righteous Salaf that they produced scholarly refutations against those who were upon falsehood those who opposed in matters of creed, and those who opposed the obligation of adhering to the Jama'ah. It is even reported that Imam Ahmad said to a man: “Stand upyou are a misguided man,” due to a violation related to the Jama'ah, as mentioned in his speech, and similar examples. However, this does not mean causing division, nor does it mean going to extremes in such matters to the point that it leads to deviation from the Prophetic methodology in uniting the word and bringing together the unity of the Muslims. @ScholarlyExcerptsEng1
