Is It Appropriate to Address Jinns during Khutbahs & sermons? Question: Can the khateeb address the jinn in his sermons and lessons? Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajoori Allah, the Most High, said: “So that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches.” This means that when the khateeb speaks to the audience, his message is for both jinn and humans. He does not need to specifically say, “O jinn… O jinn…” It is better and more appropriate not to single them out in that way. Da'wah to Allah is general and includes everyone.
